All of a sudden i want to write a review on a couple of movies I watched a couple of nights ago with bro. They were Hollywood flicks (what did u expect) and both were let-downs in many ways. Actually we ended up watching these two coz none of the others would work on Broz PS2 and we were bored out of our monocellular graymatter and we wanted to eat mangoes and ice cream while watching a movie.
The first one was The Pathfinder and was a story made on the Vikings and
the Indians. Its a story about a Norse boy who's found and raised by his enemies the Red Indians after a ship wreck. The story moves on when after 15 years the Vikings attack again and how he fights them and finds who he truly is an Indian or a Norse warrior. Although the director was himself pretty confused about what to make him out to be in the end and compromised with a "He was neither and he was both". The graphics were awesome and some of the action stunts really good with the true mood of that era captured beautifully. A lot of useless characters which were put in, i guess, to colour the scenery a bit. The story could have been made more shattering and the climax would have been better if not executed at all. The pathfinder escapes from an avalanche, kills his enemies and returns to guard a couple of rocks wearing a flappering loincloth and holding a neanderthal torch. Tada! The people of the Dawn have a new guard!! It would have done the film a lot of credit if he could've died in the avalanche, like sacrificed himself.
Iron-Man was slightly better although it too had its moments of extreme stupidity which would have been better if they would have been cut out! The start is pretty confusing when Tony Stark is kidnapped and then the movie moves into flashback and then comes out in the present again. His terrorists who are, unsurprisingly, Pakistani's (and they speak horrible Urdu; I realized that it was Urdu after half the film had passed) order him to make them weapons of awesome destruction and they leave it upto him completely. I mean come on even terrorists have enough sense to have an engineer of their own oversee a foreign kidnapees work! And he succeeds in making himself an Iron suit which allows him to escape and he is then rescued by the US Air Force. Tony Stark now turns into a humanitarian and builds himself a proper suit and makes himself out to be a universal saviour of the people against his own weapons. The rest of the story is the usual thing with his partner turning out to be the villain of the story (no surprises there) and his personal assistant suddenly becomes the love of his life. She is supposed to be very calm and collected but we see the usual histrionics esp. when hanging by a pole Stark orders her to press a button and she responds with "NO! you'll die!". Considering the fact that if she doesn't press the button the villain is gonna squash him like a bug this sounds really very stupid! The movie's one redeeming point is its end when Stark holds a press conference supposed to tell the public that he isn't Iron Man, and has the perfect alibi prepared by the government. Instead he starts off like everyone planned and ends with a completely surprising announcement "I am the Iron Man!". The movie ends on this announcement which causes utter bedlam in the conference room. Another thing about the movie is the humour that Stark has been endowed with in spades. Brilliantly executed, his sarcasm and wit really makes one laugh. Love the part when he's chiding his automatic fire-extinguisher.
Wat about the awesome soundtrack "i am iron man" by black sabbath...its awesome...

Yaar fit movie hai...And Urdu was perfectly fine..Especially when his partner comes to the terrorists and paralyzes their leader "Tumhara taufa sirf yeh hai,technology"..that sounded really good...
and secondly it was a good concept..little mechwarrior-ish.
I dont know what you were trying to find in the movie p::
